Rocky Mount Living History

Tour Rocky Mount by candlelight the first two weekends in December.  Participate as the Cobb family prepares for the holidays and the visit of the territorial governor.  Enjoy singing with the Cobb family gathered by the fireplace.  Learn what foods they are preparing and how they are being cooked. Arrive one afternoon and settle in to your comfortable room. Enjoy pizza and a game night that evening next to the wood burning fireplace. After a hearty breakfast the next morning, head out to one of the local Christmas Tree Farms to find "the perfect Christmas Tree" . Return home to the Inn where we will put the tree in water to preserve it. That evening, enjoy fondue while making popcorn and cranberry or paper chains. Decorate pine cones.
